About the support group

Community-led support, shaped together

Formed and run by neurodivergent people, we understand the challenges and want to support one another, as well as parents and families seeking to better understand neurodivergence.

Our vision

The future we’re working toward

We envision a community where neurodivergence is accepted and understood, and where neurodivergent people can access online learning and meaningful job opportunities, including people who face barriers to social participation.

Where we fit

Pretoria Autism Support Revitalised is a project of WarinHari Learn NPC, a South African non-profit company that runs several community projects.

Its main project is WarinHari Martial Arts, which teaches Shimsan Taekwondo and self-defence. The aim is to empower people in the community to stand up for themselves, rather than to make a profit.

Autism and neurodivergent support is part of this wider community vision: building understanding, access and opportunities for people to participate and thrive.

What we do

We were formed and are run by neurodivergent people. We know some of the struggles from lived experience, and want to support one another and help parents and families build understanding.
